Emergency Calls
Warranty service is completed Monday – Friday from 8:00AM – 4:00PM. After-hours emergency calls should be limited to true emergencies such as flooding, potential safety or fire hazards and no heat during winter. If you suspect a gas leak, you should immediately contact the gas company before reporting it to our offices at 888.433.6442.
Stanley Martin Homes is a growing organization. In addition to its own growth, Stanley Martin has purchased the assets and operations of other homebuilders (notably FrontDoor Communities, Essex Homes, and Avex Homes) and, in doing so, has agreed to manage the warranty process on behalf of those companies since they are no longer in operation. Because of this, the warranty commitment applicable to your home depends on who you purchased your home with and when you did so. You can find your home warranty by following the guidance below.
Homes Closed on or after 7/1/2020
This warranty covers all homes with a contract date of 7/1/2020 or after with the exception of those contracts purchased with Avex Homes.
This warranty covers homebuyers who signed a contract to purchase a home with Avex Homes prior to 9/24/2021.

This warranty covers certain homes with a contract dated (1) earlier than 7/1/2020 and involved FHA/VA financing, Virginia condominiums, or Maryland townhomes or condominiums, or (2) dated between 2/25/2020 and 7/1/2020 and located in the Charlotte, Greenville, Columbia, Aiken-August and Wilmington metro areas.
This warranty covers certain homes with a contract dated earlier than 7/1/2020.
This warranty covers Homebuyers who signed a contract to purchase a home from Essex Homes Southeast prior to 2/25/2020.
