In the real estate, building and construction industries, a BUILDERmagazine award carries some heavy weight, especially earning the “Builder of the Year” award. This title is given to those within the homebuilding industry who show a true commitment to excellence in new-home construction. The Builder of the Year winner is chosen from the annual Builder 100 list and developed using data from Zonda, the industry's top advisor for residential real estate development.
Now you may be wondering “how did you receive this award?” Well it’s not without some incredible hard work from our entire Stanley Martin Homes team and a drive to give our homeowners and buyers the best possible customer service!
In 2020 alone, our team sold 3,907 new homes and delivered 3,285 new homes, resulting in $1.4 billion in homebuilding revenues and $1.5 billion in total revenues. In addition, the team increased home closings by 82% from 2019 to 2020. Pair these numbers with strong existing market growth, strong presence in locations along the East coast and the acquisition of the Essex Homes operations in February 2020, and you have a winning formula. With all this success, Stanley Martin moved to No. 21 on the Builder 100 list of the largest builders in the U.S., moving up 11 spots in one year.
