The Kennington: It Demands Attention
Written on October 12, 2017
As you tour each floor, it's easy to picture your life as the owner of this spectacular home. With 3,384 - 5,430 square feet to wander, you can easily see you and your family living in this 4+ bedroom, 3.5-6.5-bathroom home.
You wake up in the morning in your luxurious owner's suite with a large, attached bathroom where you take long, relaxing baths; a sitting room where you like to escape to read your favorite author; and an enormous walk-in closet that's partitioned for his and her. When it's time to wake the family, you walk down the hall past the bedroom-level laundry and toss a load of clothes in the washer. Once everyone is awake, you head downstairs to start the day.
After a good breakfast has been consumed by all around the kitchen island, you put your now-finished book back on the shelf in the library at the front of the house and hit the treadmill in the flex room across the expanse of the foyer. Today is Saturday, you think to yourself, and you can't wait to explore your new neighborhood with your family.
First, it's a quick trip to nearby Wegman's for some snacks for the day. Then you drive the few minutes it takes to get to The Country Club at Woodmore. The kids hit the pool, you head to your tennis lesson, and your significant other goes to the fitness center. Exhausted after a long day of fun and games at the Club, everyone gets back in the car and you discuss your plans for next weekend: a visit to nearby Chesapeake Bay. The weekend after, it's a driving tour to Patuxent and Potomac Rivers and the National Harbor. It's great having everything so close.
On the way back home, you swing by Woodmore Towne Center to pick up some dog food for your Chocolate Lab at Petco, some ink for your printer at Best Buy, and a few steaks to throw on the grill for dinner from Costco.
After dinner, everyone enjoys your new home to the fullest. You head to the upper-level loft to catch up on some work in your home office, the kids are running around playing outside, and your spouse is tinkering away on the 1971 Pontiac GTO that's stored in the attached garage.
With Monday approaching, you think about how easy your commute to DC will be tomorrow and that getting home will be just as easy. You couldn't have asked for a better day. And you smile because you know that, in this dynamic neighborhood, every coming day will be just as wonderful.
