color swatch One of my favorite model homes is the Middleton at Embrey Mill in Stafford, VA. The simplicity of the color palette gives me a crisp, refreshing feeling.

The Family Room

Grey walls are great for any living space. The neutral color allows you design flexibility without having a traditional white wall. Since blue is one of my favorite colors, I fell in love with the color of this couch. It's elegant enough while still having a cozy feeling. A sectional is perfect for a living room, allowing ample space for everyone to gather and feel comfortable. Adding a few organic or natural pieces to any living space can give your neutrals personality. It's always great to have a piece of nature indoors.

The Kitchen

kitchen The color palette follows into the kitchen. I always felt that a cook should be in the most practical, but sensual place, when working in the kitchen. This kitchen does just that! A wooden table adds to the rustic/organic vibe. Big enough to host all the people that will be sitting on your couch. Keep the accessories quite simple to match the color scheme, or add a few pop of complimentary colors to break up the space.

The Bedroom

bedroom Your bedroom should always be your private oasis. What I love about this bedroom is how airy it feels. Almost like you're asleep in the clouds. The yellow accents bring a bright pop of color. This room is a true dream come true.

My favorite piece in this room has to be the farmhouse canopy. I love how it makes the bed the focal point of the room and makes you feel like you're the queen of the household. There are many different types of pattern that are available, so you can always add detail or color to your bedroom. Another way to add detail to your room, is through your curtains. You can add a dash of detail that changes the look of the whole room. Feel free to choose heavy or sheer curtains, depending on how late you want to sleep in!
