Wash concrete as soon as possible after exposure to salt or chemicals that may drip from automobiles.
Never use salt or chemicals on concrete. Use clean sand for traction if needed during icy conditions.
Keep excessive weight, such as moving vans, firewood, equipment, etc., away from concrete surfaces to minimize the chance of cracking.
Keep weeds and other vegetation out of expansion joints.
Make sure drainage around your house and your concrete is draining away from the house.
Always place splash blocks at downspouts and be sure they are draining away from the house.
