Description: Home Sales Manager
We have openings for Home Sales Managers for our communities located in Northern Virginia and in Southern Maryland. In Southern Maryland, we have communities in Charles County and in St. Mary's County.
Position Details:
- Manage on-site sales and provide product and house information to prospective home buyers
- Maintain contact with the purchaser from contract signing through to settlement
- Manage and create sales technique for developing new leads
- Administration of sales contracts and reporting of home sales, lot status and inventory
- Maintenance of model home and marketing material for home buyers (brochures, price lists, etc.)
- Ensure property listings in the MRIS, New Homes Guide and other list publications
- Maintain Community Data Notebook of project including services, facilities, and products
- Coordinate and attend pre-construction meeting, pre-drywall walk, and pre-closing orientation
- Represent the company professionally in all interactions with customers and home buyers

Requirements
- Management candidates MUST have at least 3 years experience in new home sales
- Building experience preferred but not required
- College degree or commensurate experience required

Chief Financial Officer |

Description: Chief Financial Officer
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is one of the primary leaders of Stanley Martin and has both strategic and operational responsibilities to ensure Stanley Martin’s long run success. The CFO is directly responsible for the finance, accounting, administration, and technology functions in the company. The CFO leads our annual and long range planning, is a member of our land investment committee and our leadership team, and is responsible for our public financial reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Capital: assure adequate debt and equity financing for residential construction, land development activities, and general operations.
- Financial Reporting:
- Monthly internal management reporting
- Quarterly & annual SEC filings
- Community Budgeting & Financial Projections: full financial modeling for every individual community with respect to pricing, product, job cost budgeting, and timing.
- Business Planning
- Maintain two calendar years of forward projections, updated quarterly
- Long range strategic planning
- Insurance: manage all insurance relationships including our investments and experience in two captives, plus overall risk management
- Bonding: manage all performance bonding relationships to assure adequate bonding capacity
- Land: manage land closings and sit on land investment committee to determine future acquisitions
- Accounting: responsible for an accounting team that handles Cash Management, Accounts Payable, Job Cost accounting, and similar accounting activities, including our audit firm relationship
- Tax Planning
- Administration: responsible for all corporate administration, service contracts, facilities, etc.

Position Requirements:
- Over 10 years of executive level financial supervisory experience
- College degree required, MBA preferred
- CPA certification required
- Knowledge of manufacturing and related cost accounting and budgeting processes a must
- Homebuilding experience preferred but not required
- SEC experience preferred but not required

We are currently searching for a Senior Accountant for our Company Headquarters in Reston, Virginia. The Project Accountant is responsible for the maintenance and control of various general ledger accounts and preparation of consolidated monthly financial statements and schedules.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure correct account classification and accuracy
- Audit A/P edits for accuracy
- Prepare consolidated balance sheets and income statements along with individual financial statements for all entities

- Prepare and update monthly cash schedule showing all settlement cash inflows
- Maintain the positive pay system online
- Review monthly bank reconciliations

Position Details:

Description: Homebuilding Architectural Manager
The Homebuilding Architectural Manager is responsible for producing and stamping master drawing sets and managing residential homebuilding projects with the Architecture department from Land Acquisition hand-off through the county approval process. Additionally, the Architectural Manager will ensure Architecture department standards and procedures are documented and followed. The Architectural Manager is also responsible for managing architectural services to Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, Construction departments and personnel.
Position details:

Architectural CADD/Drafting Coordinator |

Description: Architectural CADD/Drafitng Coordinator
The Architectural CADD/Drafting Coordinator is responsible for the production of construction documents on CADD and production of construction sketches. Additionally, the Architectural Coordinator coordinates projects and provides architectural services to the Sales, Marketing, Design Center, Purchasing and Construction departments and other SMC personnel as required.
Position details:
- Prepare project construction drawings on Autocad.
- Coordinate to insure all plan packages are complete (construction drawing sets, shop drawings. structural drawings, county’s cover sheets, etc.).
- Provide plan distribution to construction, purchasing, sales and marketing staff.
- Insure timely publication of status reports.
- Maintain online CADD documents.
- Adhere to project schedules.
- Prepare drawings in compliance with applicable building codes (i.e. 2003 IRC, 2003 VSUSBC) and permit submittal requirements (for counties in and adjacent to Northern Virginia and in Southern Maryland).
- Produce architectural details for single family and townhome construction.
- Complete in a timely and accurate fashion all other duties as assigned by manager.

Requirements:
- Exceptional Autocad skills, with knowledge of Autocad's ADT preferred but not required.
- Minimum of four years experience in single family construction drawings, with experience in townhouse drawings preferred but not required.

- High competency with MSOffice.
- 4 year college degree in Architecture preferred but not required.
- Team player with good organization and communication skills.
